Lurdys’ fascination with photography began at an early age. Her father was an avid photographer and often enlisted her as his “photo assistant” during family events and outings. It was during this period that the gift of photography was crystallized in her mind - capturing these images allows us to stay connected to our personal histories; we are able to keep our memories alive in a tangible way.

Lurdys began taking photography classes while in college in order to learn more about the technical aspects of lighting and composition. She continues to develop her technique by attending classes, seminars and conventions.

Her affiliations include the Professional Photographers of America, Professional Photographers of the Greater Bay Area, as well as PhotoMission, Inc., an international organization of Christian photographers.
